Like us to send you a proposal for a modelling or other assignment for your company, business unit or project?
Thanks to the rapid deployment of reliable communications technologies in recent years, we can undertake assignments for companies in many parts of the world. Through a combination of email, conferencing via VOIP (Skype or other), phone or video, file transfer via FTP/upload to private page, etc, we are able to provide the full range of our modelling services no matter where you are located.
How do clients find the experience of working with us from other locations?
Here's an example from an overseas client.
Coastal Hydropower Corporation retained Wingarra BMI to provide the design and development of a proprietary financial projection and project feasibility study software package for our hydropower operations. This project involved ongoing interaction between Wingarra BMI and our Coastal engineers and financial personnel during all phases of the project, which was handled simply through email exchanges, telephone and Skype conference calls.
This was a very complex project which resulted in the building of a large spreadsheet (over 30 MB) for which Wingarra BMI posted various drafts via FTP upload to a private page on its website. Therefore members of our team were able to easily access the various draft stages of the document for input.
Although there is a huge difference in time between our location in Canada and the Wingarra BMI office in Australia (typically 17 hours), we found that scheduling afternoon conferences on our time worked perfectly, since that time coincided with morning business hours in Australia.
We found Mr Greg O’Connor, principal of Wingarra BMI, to be very professional, timely in providing updates to the project and knowledgeable in the international financial requirements that were necessary for our applications.

And here's another one from a client based in another part of Australia, and with operations overseas.
This letter is to confirm that Coconet International Pty Ltd has enlisted Wingarra BMI for project related works.
The project was to set up a very complex analysis tool used for the corporate structuring of franchises globally. This series of spreadsheets incorporated all the known parameters and even considered the different wages, dollar values, CPI [inflation] indexing, depreciation and so forth.
I found Greg to be extremely attentive to our needs and during the many lengthy discussions over a seven month period we formed a useful and now long lasting relationship.
I would have no hesitation in recommending his services to any venture, be it in Australia or offshore as he demonstrated a willingness even whilst I was doing business in Fiji.
Should you require any further validations or discussions, please feel free to contact me [below].

You can also read more about Tim's experience of the modelling assignments, as well as the production of a Financial Analysis Package for inclusion in his Information Memorandum, in these extracts from his book - Going Nuts - How Your Idea Can Make Money - A true rags-to-riches story from Australian 2003 Inventor of the Year (each opens in a new browser):
And here is one more Australian company, this one based on the Gold Coast. Although much of this project was handled locally, a significant part of the modelling assignment was completed via FTP file transfer, etc.
Based on the Gold Coast, Australia, Tidal Energy Pty Ltd is commercialising highly innovative marine current renewable energy technology.
We were greatly assisted early in our development cycle by a technology commercialisation (COMET) grant from the Australian Government. This grant was secured through the hard work and innovative business planning of Greg O’Connor of Wingarra BMI. His work in assisting us through the application and negotiation process was first class – we would not have secured the grant without his services.
Since that time, we have engaged Greg on a number of other projects. In particular, we have used him on a number of occasions to develop spreadsheet models to assist in the evaluation of alternative commercialisation options and business models. The models Greg developed for us were very complex and incredibly detailed. They allowed us to not only calculate power output from our turbines under all operating conditions, but also to project revenue from a range of alternative revenue models, including some which included very innovative funding structures. We are still using these models today.
