There are a range of issues which must be addressed before companies can take a new product or service to market. Pre-eminent among these are a rigorous analysis of the logic and the financial potential of the proposed business model. These aspects - the qualitative assessment and the quantitative assessment - have been covered in some detail at the following pages:
Assuming these assessment phases confirm the potential of the product or service, and the business model underpinning it, the proponent company will then need to secure funding to execute its commercialisation plan. It is at this stage that Wingarra BMI can assist to develop and prepareĀ business plans which chart a clear path to project implementation and product or service commercialisation. (For more information about this, see the Inventors and inventions and Other services pages.)
These, in turn, are then used to prepare information memoranda for presentation to financiers and/or investors with a view to securing debt funding and/or equity funding. Where equity investment is being sought, Wingarra BMI assists clients through the investment process by fully explaining the financial modelling and business planning to potential investors, and assisting them to undertake their own scenario testing.
Set out below are example screenshots showing the table of contents of a typical information memorandum prepared by Wingarra BMI. This is based on an actual assignment, but, as with the financial model screenshots shown elsewhere, details have been changed to protect client confidentiality.
